Economics is one of the major Departments in Social Sciences. Many eminent stalwarts have served in the Economics Department.The department has organized a number of activities like lectures,workshops and seminars for the benefit of the students and staff of the college. We take pride in the fact that the faculty of the department are actively involved in research activities,published articles in scholarly journals, participated in national and international seminars and conferences and successfully completed research projects.Our students have also excelled in state level research paper writing and research project presentation competition.Many students from the department have gone to nationally and internationally reputed institutes for higher studies like IIT Mandi, Tata Institute for Social Sciences,Gokhale Institute for Economics and Politics,International Institute for Population Sciences.
