The department of Geography was incepted in this college during the academic year 1972-73 under the able guidance of Principal S. Naimuddin. The first Head of the department Prof. Dande founded the department. After his transfer Dr. K. A. Ukey took the charge of the department and anchored it till April 2002.During this period the department progressed in all respects. At present, the department has junior college classes, graduate and post graduate classes .At present, Dr.A.I.Khan is the Head of department. In the Year 1993-94, teaching of M.A. (Geography) was started .The intake capacity for M.A. is one division. This department has also under taken research activities leading to Ph.D. Degree. Dr. Khan A. I. are working as Ph.D. guide in our department .Fifteen students have registered for Ph.D. at present. The teachers in the department are actively engaged in research for graduate and post graduate students. The department undertakes seminars, workshops and lectures are arranged of guest faculty educational tours and village survey. Geography association is another activity of this department in which students arrange lectures and exhibitions.
