The department of sociology provides teaching facilities in both Marathi and English medium for the students of B.A I II and III year of the college. All the members of department of sociology take keen interest in providing guidance to the students in respect of completion of syllabus as well as have cordial relation with the students teaching and non-teaching staff of this college.

The department of sociology was headed by eminent personalities like prof. N.R.Joshi, Prof. Lad, Prof. S.I. Thorat, Prof. J.v. Rahate, Prof.Dhanagare, Prof. N.s. vaidya, Prof.B.N Gaikwad, Dr.S.G.Thakur.

Presently Dr.S.G Thakur is working as the head of the department and Assistant professor Vidya M.Ingole & Assistant professor Mr. Bandu Patekar is faculty member of the department.
